Hugh has spent the last 20 years in Professional rugby, sixteen as a Newcastle, Saracens and England rugby player, and the last four in the commercial department at Saracens rugby club, most recently as Commercial Director.
His rugby career highlights include becoming an England International in 2004, winning Premiership titles with Newcastle Falcons in 1997 and with Saracens in 2011, and winning domestic cups in 2001 and 2003.
On retirement Hugh was awarded the Special Merit Award from his peers by the Rugby Players Association having played over 350 professional games. Hugh has recently been inducted into the Premiership Hall of Fame.
Off the field, in the Commercial department at Saracens, Hugh was tasked with driving new commercial sales with the development of Saracens new stadium Allianz Park, successfully winning the Best Stadium Hospitality at the Stadium Sports Awards 2015.
As commercial director Hugh passionately sourced and managed relationships with the clubs main sponsors, developed relationships with the games governing bodies and provided the link between commercial partners and the players.
